'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack,' a visually impressive original animation from Cartoon Network has been slated to air this Summer. Following an aspiring young boy, his captain and a talking whale, "Misadventures of Flapjack" is all about getting into a lot of trouble for the sake of acquiring the coveted title of "Adventurer." 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack' is created by Thurop Van Ormon.

Review of the new Cartoon Network original series 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack,' where a grizzled old pirate (Captain K'nuckles) and an overly optimistic kid sailor (Flapjack) embark on humorous "adventures" that often result in disappointment. Created by Mark Van Orman, the animated series sports a great visual aesthete and friendly characters.

Cartoon Network's previous week delivered rather well to key audiences with 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack' and other new animated properties. The network's new Thursday programming block is starting to pay dividends in conjunction with its Saturday franchise, "Dynamite Action Squad." Numbers for 'Ben 10: Alien Force' is also included.

CN has given the greenlight to two new animated series, each of which is a typically atypical buddy comedy. One follows groundskeeper pals, another a couple of teenage robots. In other news, the kid's cable channel has approved additional episode orders for 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack' and 'Adventure Time' (2010), which was announced at Upfront 2009.

Cartoon Network Enterprises has come to an agreement with shirt design group Now and Zen Productions to create a line of T-shirt and fleece tops. Scheduled to hit a wide range of retailers--such as Kohl's and Macy's--relatively soon, the items will be branded with 'Chowder' and 'The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack,' two of Cartoon Network's most popular comedies.

Cartoon Network's Thursday evening programming continues to thrive. Additionally, Total Program Day as well as Primetime numbers for select demographics drive a confident week of animated comedies. 'The Misadventures of Flapjack' along with 'Johnny Test' and 'Total Drama Island' remain the top driving programs.

Cartoon Network found growth with key audiences throughout the month of July 2008, resting on the shoulders of 'The Misadventures of Flapjack,' which at one point was the #1 kids show with several demographics. The summer is shaping up rather well for the kids channel, whose Primetime programming is vastly improved over last year.
