We have updated to vBulletin 3.8.0 for better security and to stay current with updates. If there are any problems or bugs, please notify us here.

Wasn't there some big argument a few years ago about whether or not post counts should be in the information on the left of every post?

At one point it was a big deal to people and they posted crap to inflate it, and so we removed it. You're right, it's back now.

How do you feel about that?

Oh yeah? I call shenanigans.

Creating multiple accounts with different names will get you banned. I advise against it.

(I like the Mac icons though.)

Lets see, issues?
Well I hadn't been able to access the AI forums for the past 2 weeks or so. I'd thought that they went down due to some unforseen technical/hosting issues.

I'm glad to see the forums actually accessible now, but they're slow as a turtle. I feel like I'm on dial-up again, ugh. My connection/computer are fine though as I ran speedtests to make sure it wasn't anything on my end. I guess that such things will improve in time as the forum accumulates and rebuilds its post cache again.

Aside from that, awesome work on the updates, w00t!
And yeah, having a post count would be a nice 'at a glance' way to determine seniority, methinks. I vote +1 to keep it.

Am I the only one who couldn't get on the site since yesterday? It started I think around this time yesterday, and this is the first time I've been able to get on since then.

No, the Apache HTTP server died last night right before midnight. I reported it right away, but being new years eve it wasn't resolved until today.

Unlike a crash, the server was still fine in this case. Email was working, and the CPanel was fine. So apparently it took them longer to get it up and running than expected.
