Casshern Sins - The Angel of Ruin Wrote:After the murder of near-goddess Luna, the ruling robot society of Earth falls into decay. The only robot left unaffected by the disease known as "The Ruin" is Casshern. Unable to remember if he truly did kill Luna and trigger the beginning of the end of Earth's entire civilization, human and robot alike, Casshern now wanders the world, trying to unravel the mystery that connects him, Luna, and The Ruin.

This episode is so incredibly emo...but Christ is it easy on the eyes. So many fantastic shots - love the character designs for girl. Not a huge fan of the weird Barbara Walters fuzzy lens thing...but other-wise, visually at least, I dig it.

Wow, Sophita is royally screwed up. I like her.

The series is really changing now. We finally have some characters smart enough not to fight Casshern and get themselves sliced like butter.

It's also nice to see that Casshern is showing restraint. I'm interested to see how this will impact him through the rest of the series.

I dig crazy chicks!

Sophita is quite interesting. I absolutely adore her character design and it's cute whenever she refers to herself in third person. The way she "expresses her feelings" reminds me of some girl(s) I used to know... and I'll just leave it at that.

I also want to point out that Casshern Sins has a strong artistic vibe that intrigues me. Whenever this show is on, it's difficult for me to look away and I feel sucked in by its sad/moody/calm/quiet atmosphere.

I loved this episode. 5 Stars.

This is definitely a beautiful series, and this was certainly one of the better, stand-alone episodes. But I must say, you've gotta consider yourself fortunate if the over-writing in this episode didn't drive you nuts.
