No! Not my Cabbage...Corp!

Hehe! Excellent reference to the obscure, but-oh-so-lovable character from the first series, with a statue and everything!

Called it on the Sato Corp., though I did originally think that Asami was in on it too (but I did see the whole betrayal-of-the-father stunt comin'). I'm glad she wasn't involved though.

Wow, I knew the series was heavy on steam-punk, but I didn't think they'd pull out the mech card!

And now we've learned that platinum can't be metal-bended. (Which kinda makes ya wonder why the floor of the factory wasn't plated with platinum as well...cost, maybe?)

Despite not bein' blind, Lin seems to have the same heightened sense of her mother (as evidenced by her ability to use "Earth-sonar").

Overall, a great episode. More character and plot development, and wonderfully choreographed fight scenes.

RE: Book 1, Episode 7: The Aftermath
As good a character Korra is (at least better than Aang will ever be), I finally figured out what it is that makes her irk me at times. The way she goes about stuff. To just go on about Sato and pretty much throw her friendship out the window just makes me "ARGH", can't you do this a little differently.

But at the same time, I cannot blame her for it either, especially when I think of it from a christian perspective. Do the right thing even if it cost you your friendship (I'm only using christianity since that's my religion. Not doubting others or anything Smile).

I'm actually wondering why haven't any of the metal benders been bending the ground or something? Are they solely focusing on metal?

As for the episode, slightly slower, but still good nevertheless. Like I said, only issue was with Korra, but thinking about it now nullifies that minor complaint.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: Wesker, Spencer/Dante/Vergil, Hawkeye

I understand your perspective, but really, I think it's more of a strictly Avatar perspective that she bases her decisions on.

Protect her friendship, or protect the entire city? She's the Avatar, so of course she's gonna put the safety of the city above her own interests. If she didn't, then she really would be the failure that Amon says she is. Although her personal relationships are no doubt important to her, when it comes down to it, she'll sacrifice personal feelings to fulfill her duty.

There was a whole episode devoted to this concept in the original series, where Aang meets with the Guru and learns that in order to achieve full control of the Avatar state, he must put his personal feelings aside.

...Speakin' of which, I wonder when/if we'll see Korra enter her Avatar state?
