Based on the manga by Osamu Tezuka, two anime films are returning to home video this month courtesy of Discotek Media -- 'The Fantastic Adventures of Unico' (1981) and 'Unico in the Island of Magic' (1983). Both projects sport modestly experimental animation and increasingly dramatic, mock-horror storytelling while regaling audiences with the tale of a magical little unicorn endeavoring to bring happiness to all.

Fantastic! I love these movies! Of course, it's Tezuka, so ya know it's gotta be good to begin with, but I really love the animation style (which was pretty extraordinary for the time) and the storylines and characters themselves.
