Electric City
Expanding on their self-produced online-entertainment portfolio, Yahoo! has launched their first animated mini-series, Electric City

Created by Tom Hanks (who has to have his name slapped on everything these days), consists of short episodes, around 5 minutes each, of a future in which the only thing more powerful than control over the electric grid...is control over one's own destiny.

Overall, an interestin' series. Good animation, okay voice actin' (some better than others, though), and a pretty creative (though not entirely unique or un-cliche) plotline and backstory.

Odd note: rather than cuss, they literally say the word "expletive", which is funny that they should censor it, since the series has no censor of graphic depictions of murder, sex, and violence.

...Maybe it's some FCC rule for internet broadcast?

RE: Electric City
Is there some other site that's hosting these? The more I watch it, the worse the quality gets on the Flash player.

Sorry, not that I know of.

It appears to be an exclusive deal with the Yahoo! site. You could try Youtube, but I doubt it.

Maybe try refresh the page, or waitin' for the buffer to fill before you play...but I agree, the quality of the flash player isn't exactly the best.

...knowin' Hanks (and his love of merchandising), it'll probably come out on disc or pay-per-download eventually.
