RE: Toonami Talkback: Deadman Wonderland - "Hummingbird"
...how old are these characters again? Each week I think they've reached maximum insanity...but...wow. @_@

RE: Toonami Talkback: Deadman Wonderland - "Hummingbird"
Ganta is fourteen-years-old, ha!
This episode successfully pissed me off, because I was hoping Ganta would find some happiness amid the carnage of Deadman Wonderland... but alas, there was no love to be found. The headbutt was awesome, though. |

RE: Toonami Talkback: Deadman Wonderland - "Hummingbird"
I think I just found a contradiction in this series.
Remember in the first episode when the judge who sentenced Ganta here said that sending a minor to this prison was "unprecedented?" If Hummingbird was sentenced here much earlier, then how is it unprecedented? |

O_O
Hummingbird. My God. I mentioned in one of the Casshern threads that I dig crazy chicks. Well, I still do. Scarily insane chicks, however... 4 Stars for the shock value alone in this one. The WTF moments just kept coming. (07-02-2012 06:23 PM)Aaron H. Bynum Wrote: This episode successfully pissed me off, because I was hoping Ganta would find some happiness amid the carnage of Deadman Wonderland... but alas, there was no love to be found. Happiness?... love?... in Deadman Wonderland? What is this madness of which you speak? I feel like this episode legitimately toyed around with my own personal emotions. There was a moment when I was completely drawn into Minatsuki's act. At one point, I genuinely felt sorry for her and wanted Ganta to protect the "sweet and abused" girl. Once she revealed her true freaky self, I wanted to send her on a one way trip to the depths of Hades (I've been playing way too much God of War, lately). Anyway, I found it easy to relate to what Ganta was feeling. Damn, those twisted mind games. (07-02-2012 07:44 PM)Daikun Wrote: I think I just found a contradiction in this series. Interesting. I may need to go back and watch the part you're referring to. Seriously though, this series is so off-the-wall (in a good way). I'm not really too concerned about its contradictions. |

RE: Toonami Talkback: Deadman Wonderland - "Hummingbird"
I wouldn't put it past the judicial system in this anime to have been totally corrupt. If Tamaki has represented so many people in court, only to screw them over and bring them into the hellhole of Deadman Wonderland, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he's paying everyone off (except for the families of the victims).
