'Sealab 2020' (1972) was one of dozens of Hanna-Barbera items released to the early morning airwaves decades ago. This time, however, viewers took to the ocean for humanitarian adventure: seaquakes, petulant sharks, idiot whale hunters, falling satellites, 'Sealab 2020' had it all. The TV series is now available courtesy of the Warner Archive's manufacturing-on-demand program.

That's probably the last thing I would expect to come to DVD. Wow.

I kind of got the impression that they were doing this with a bit of a wink and a nod, since there are plenty other H-B Studios items from the 60s and 70s that probably deserve more disc time.

Essentially, the animated counter-part to "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea".

Oddly enough, it was actually more realistic than it's live-action counterpart.

...At least until CN got hold of it.
