57th Annual Emmy Nominations
July 15th, 2005 12:05 PM by Aaron H. Bynum

Fifty-Seven

The nominees are in for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Announced by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, today various production artists and companies celebrated the widespread recognition of their particular animated program for its music, effects, story, characters, and much more. Few other awards ceremonies recognize what animated programming and special effects artistry has graced the television set in the afternoon like the Emmy Awards.

A couple notable entrants for the 57th Annual Primtime Emmy Awards includes Cartoon Network's hottest original television series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends up for the best Original Main Title Theme Music, and The Simpsons up for Outstanding Music and Lyrics. The awards presentation telecast awarding Emmys in twenty-seven categories before the CBS Television Network will televise a black-tie audience on Sunday, September 18th, 2005 from the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

Additional awards may also be given for the four "juried areas" (no nominations) of Costumes for a Variety or Music Program, Voice-Over Performance, Individual Achievement in Animation and Interactive Television. The announcement of these awards, if any, will be released in August. Two additional awards may also be given for Engineering Development and the Governors Award. These awards, if any, will be announced later this month.
