"Fortune Teller"

In the episode "Fortune Teller" of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang, Sokka, and Katara discover a local village that has a fortune teller known as Aunt Wu, whom has been giving people what seems to be a false hope… according to Sokka. As the episode goes on, in the midst Sokka's warnings, Aang and Katara both get a kick out of having their fortunes told. Aang for one tries to use such an opportunity to figure out ways he can be noticed by Katara, as far as love and affection are concerned. Similarly, at the same time, one girl in the village is falling head over heels for Aang, almost stalking him in a way, all the while Aang is practicing Sokka's idea on how to get on good terms with the ladies.

Sokka tells Aang that he's too nice, and as a result, their last resort of an idea is completely bogus, and so Aang starts to act indifferent about everything for a while as an attempt to get Katara's attention.

Later in the episode, Aang learns of a flower that he can find near a volcano that Aunt Wu claimed would not erupt for a long time. While Sokka and Aang are on the quest to find the flower, they discover that the volcano is indeed still active, and at anytime will most certainly erupt. Aang, Katara, and Sokka try to encourage the people of the village to understand that Aunt Wu's predictions are wrong this time, and that they must act fast to save there home.

Everyone starts digging a trench to move the lava another direction and Aang uses some of his airbending to try and keep the lava flow in check, and thus saves the citizens as well as the village.
