The first installment of the live-action reboot, Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins, successfully struck a quirky but familiar balance among a new cast of actors (and CG Scooby-Doo), making for a rather engaging small screen surprise last autumn. A prequel, The Mystery Begins brought together the mystery-solving foursome and a cowardly Great Dane with memorable efficiency. Now, Warner Premiere heads into production on the next film in the series, Curse of the Lake Monster, tracking down Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy -- assuredly still in their high school years. The new television movie will premiere on Cartoon Network autumn 2010, and enter the home video market next spring.

Daphne's uncle owns the country club, but any sense of security is quickly lost when the gang unearths myriad strange happenings -- a few peculiar and unwanted characters roaming the grounds, including one so-called "Frog monster" on the loose.
As Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster continues, regardless of whether "there's no such things as Frog Monsters," everyone's favorite four-plus-one mystery solvers move into action to keep the peace.
Brian Levant and Brian Gilbert, director and producer (respectively) for the previous direct-to-TV live-action Scooby movie, remain in position for Curse of the Lake Monster. Atlas Entertainment likewise keeps the core cast of the live-action movie in tact from the previous film as well: Robbie Amell ("Fred"), Kate Melton ("Daphne"), Hayley Kiyoko ("Velma"), and Nick Palatas ("Shaggy"). Animation Picture Company will be providing the physical animation production for Scooby-Doo.
