From perennial preschool favorites to award-winning fantasy adventures, MTV Networks International has established new broadcast sales for a range of animated programming. In related news, Nickelodeon Asia has also been relatively busy as of late, picking up one of Spain's latest, high-rating cartoon series'.
Territories witnessing new penetration of Nick programming include Europe, Latin America, and Asia. According to reports, for example, the first two seasons of the slapstick animated comedy
The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991) has been acquired by FOX (Portugal); while elsewhere, France 3 (France) has picked up the local rights to air the computer animated jungle-adventure
Tak & the Power of Juju, and Canal+ (France) the rights to the CG comedy
Back at the Barnyard.
Dora the Explorer moves forward, taking root in Scandinavia through broadcaster NRK (Norway).
Avatar: the Last Airbender, Nickelodeon's impressive fantasy tale of a boy destined to save humankind from what appears to be a never-ending war, has made additional inroads in Asian territories. TVB (Hong Kong), which airs various domestically produced cartoons on local stations, has acquired the rights to the Asian-influenced action-adventure series. ATV (Hong Kong) has also acquired the rights to broadcast
Avatar: the Last Airbender, reportedly making the Nickelodeon original animation the first of its kind to air on both of the territory's only free-to-air channels. ATV hosts a wealth of animation, such as

Transformers.
In Latin America, Teleamazonas (Ecuador) and Antena Latina (Dominican Republic) have bulked up their Nickelodeon-branded programming blocks with new episodes of

SpongeBob SquarePants. Additionally, Teletica (Costa Rica) has purchased the broadcast rights for hyperactive kid comedy
The Mighty B! as well as instructional-educational preschool animation

Nickelodeon Asia, the branded network of animated and live-action programming in various other portions of the east, has also made a notable procurement. The Imira Entertainment fantasy cartoon
Sandra: The Fairytale Detective will officially be available to viewers in select areas. The series tracks a little girl whose knack for deductive reasoning and fairytales of ye old lore land she and her assistant and friend Fo, a sprightly 500-year-old elf.
