'Phineas and Ferb' Animation Fall 2009 News

The number one series on the Disney XD cable network in all key demographics, Phineas and Ferb is an animated series at the top of its game. In every way adorable, inventive, and full of dry wit, the Disney Television Animation original series has done extraordinarily well in making a name for itself among fans in favor of kids-being-kids programming. This fall, Disney is putting together a couple more programming events centered on Phineas and Ferb, one of which is the much anticipated viewer-generated clip show.

Stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb certainly have their work cut out for them this fall. Just when all of their viewers gear up to head back to school, the two kids whose irrepressible creativity knows no bounds will continue to thrive.

Both scheduled for sometime fall 2009, Phineas and Ferb will soon include a special two-part time travel episode as well as a musical clip show, highlighting all of the cool episode-songs that have made their appearance in several instances within the program to date.

A new, two-part episode following the brothers as they travel into the future. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo," the kid-inventors travel into the future in order to locate a tool they need (a tool it turns out, that hasn't been invented yet). When doing so, the boys encounter "future Candace," who follows modern day Phineas and Ferb back home. As the two-part Phineas and Ferb continues, future Candace, with knowledge of the past, takes the initiative and finally busts her brothers as they build their latest and greatest rollercoaster. The problem? Her doing so accidentally foils Agent P's defeat of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, setting off a chain reaction that turns the future into a wild, dystopian society. This episode is scheduled for Fall 2009.

At one point, Candace had squirrels in her pants; on a separate occasion, Phineas and Ferb invented S'winter (a combination of course, of summer and winter); and then there's the song about everyone's favorite "semi-aquatic, egg-laying mammal of action," Perry the platypus…. In total, there have been more than 100 original songs featured in Phineas and Ferb thus far, and since the program was just picked up for a third season [recent A.I. news: "Phineas/Ferb Spring for Three" (06/2009)], chances are high that there's plenty more to come. Starting the first week of September, fans of the animated television series will be able to go online (DisneyChannel.com and DisneyXD.com) and vote for their favorite song. The Top 10 results will be made to work as a clip show countdown, "Phineas and Ferb's Cliptastic Countdown," hosted by none other than comedic foils Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram.
