Now, Sony Pictures is distributing the entire animated television series The Real Ghostbusters as a DVD Set, complete with several hours of bonus features and episode commentary. The cartoon, whose storyline picked up in the immediate aftermath of the 1984 live-action feature film, followed the whereabouts of Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, their secretary Janine, and their green pal Slimer as they mount expedition after expedition to weed out every ghost, goblin, and boogieman from every shadow or crack in the wall possible.
Now available on DVD as a complete series set, The Real Ghostbusters is available for purchase only online (at www.RealGhostbustersDVD.com). A never-before-seen promotional pilot, art and photo galleries, on-camera commentary tracks with producers, writers, and artists for the animated series, and oodles more; this DVD Set includes an impressive 25 DVDs on which all 147 episodes are laid out alongside hours and hours of extra features. The hard labor of dedicated home video producer Andy Mangels and his associates, the release of The Real Ghostbusters is available for a hefty $179.99, but certainly includes just about anything and everything that a fan of the series could ever want

Scripts, storyboards, and information booklets. Uncut and digitally re-mastered audio and video, voice-actor interviews, and specially designed DVD packaging. Image galleries of character designs and model sheets, original series bumpers, and five spotlight documentaries. With more than 55 hours of ghostbusters, the real ghostbusters, and so much more, the complete DVD collection of The Real Ghostbusters is an impressive domestic release to say the least.
While nostalgia may often dictate an interest in collectible toys, posters or comic books from the 80s, which so very well define the ghostbusting experience, the animated television series The Real Ghostbusters provides one final call to fans of giant marshmallow men and green piles of goo.
