With several projects currently in development, Frederator Films have openly stated their division's goals: to produce valuable theatrical cartoons, and to produce these cartoons for less than a budgeted $20 million. "Our studio's successes have been built on the best creative talents in the animation business," Fred Seibert stated. Always aiming for innovation with a refreshing creativity, Seibert and his colleagues have enlisted the collaboration of a variety of talented writers and animators for the foundation of Frederator Films.
"Fred is the master at identifying voids in the marketplace and filling them with paradigm-shifting content," Eric Gardner, Chairman/CEO of Panacea Entertainment, a talent management and production company he founded 36 years ago, commented in a press release.
"There has been a dearth of both 2D and genre animated feature product which Frederator Films will be rectifying, much to the delight of young males everywhere." Gardner has produced over 100 hours of television and several features, representing an immeasurably diverse list of clients such as Paul Shaffer, The Sex Pistols, Donny Osmond, Timothy Leary, Richard Belzer, Pink Floyd and The Who.
As of this article's publication, Frederator Films reportedly possesses a dozen projects currently in development. The anticipated demographic for Frederator Films' movies are young males. Principal animation production will apparently be located in Hollywood and New York.
The first film Seibert, Kolde and Gardner will produce through Frederator Films is currently entitled The Seven Deadly Sins, a hip-hop themed animated feature whose principal creative heads promise to be full of humor. Still early in development, The Seven Deadly Sins will reportedly be in flash animation; having something to do with the indomitable list of misdeeds, naturally, the inclusion of rap music, and Don King, whom some sources report as having signed on as the project's first voice-over contributor. Utilizing outspoken social elements to tell a story scheduled to go into production this fall, this feature animation will be written, designed and directed by animator Dan Meth.
Additionally, the incredibly talented writer/director and animator behind the powerful genre-bending animated television series Samurai Jack, Genndy Tartakovsky will be bringing his ultimate action animation to the silver screen. Having wanted to bring the warrior of many eras to film for a few years before his departure from Cartoon Network, Tartakovsky, now a principal creative at Orphanage Animation Studios, will now have the opportunity to brandish Samurai Jack in a manner true to the project's creative origin. Frederator Films will be tackling three different genres with three alternate approaches to animating their unique stories; Samurai Jack, of which Genndy Tartakovsky will write and direct, will certainly feature the outstanding character animation and production design for which its native series was known for.
