Busy as a Bee

DreamWorks Animation in association with Columbus 81 Productions comes Bee Movie.

Character Barry B. Benson (voiced by Jerry Seinfeld) breaks a cardinal bee rule and speaks to a human for the first time, thus starting a friendship with a New York City florist by the name of Vanessa (Renee Zellweger).

DreamWorks Animation Presents in association with Columbus 81 Productions “Bee Movie,” written by Jerry Seinfeld, produced by Jerry Seinfeld and Christina Steinberg, and starring Jerry Seinfeld. The film also features the voice talents of Academy Award-winning actress Renée Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Chris Rock, Academy Award-winning actress Kathy Bates, Alan Arkin, and Patrick Warburton. The film is directed by Simon J. Smith and Steve Hickner. (This film is not yet rated).

This animated comedy will change everything you think you know about bees. Having just graduated from college, a bee by the name of Barry B. Benson finds himself disillusioned with the prospect of having only one career choice -- honey. This leads him into breaking the rule of the bee, to never have communicable contact with humans.

He is shocked to discover that the humans have been stealing and eating the bees’ honey for centuries, and ultimately realizes that his true calling in life is to set the world right by suing the human race for stealing their precious honey.

Release date for Bee Movie is November 2, 2007.
