Cartoon Network announced their programming highlights the original and acquired animated television series' throughout the fall and winter months. The announcement was made at the annual Television Critics Association earlier today. Animated programming announced here includes everything from the animated feature Hellboy: Sword of Storms to the new series Class of 3000 from Andre Benjamin. Cartoon Network has more plans to boost interest in Toonami programming as well, with more action movie premieres and the Friday's programming block looks to capitalize on the immense success of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends with the premiere of the movie: Foster's: Good Wilt Hunting.

AUGUST:
August 11th: The all-new 90-minute original movie Codename: Kids Next Door: “Operation Z.E.R.O.” premieres on Friday, August 11th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT). In the biggest, most epic Codename: Kids Next Door adventure ever, an evil more evil than Father threatens to turn both kids and adults into tapioca eating, hideously wrinklified Senior Citizombies. To fight this menace, the Kids Next Door are forced to recommission their greatest operative ever- NUMBUH ZERO. Join Numbuhs One through Five and the rest of KND Global Command as they battle alongside their bygone hero to fight not only for kids...but the world!
August 18th: The ever-dueling duo is back, but this time Tom & Jerry have “all paws on deck” while searching for buried treasure in Tom & Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers premiering on Cartoon Network Friday, August 18th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT). It’s a swashbuckling pirate adventure when Tom discovers a mysterious bottle containing a treasure map. Tom’s dream of finding the treasure himself is ruined when he discovers a stowaway mouse, Jerry. Poor little Jerry has been guarding the treasure map, and now has a greedy cat on his paws. The race is on and Tom and Jerry must work together to get past the coconut-throwing monkeys and a giant slimy octopus, outsmart the pirates and find the buried treasure.
SEPTEMBER:
September 8th: A new season of Codename: Kids Next Door following the thrilling escapades of five eager, yet bumbling 10-year-olds as they fight against the forces of tyrannical adults begins on Friday, September 8th, 2006. Armed with ingenious vehicles and equipment engineered with jerry-built “2 x 4 Technology,” the KND operatives relentlessly defend the rights of kids everywhere by engaging in head-to-head combat with ruthless adult villains. In the sixth season, the Kids Next Door take on a safety-obsessed billionaire senator and an entire Spinach Armada, and they even manage to rescue recess.
OCTOBER:
October 6th: In Scooby Doo: Pirates Ahoy!, it’s high-seas hilarity when Scooby-Doo and the gang take a creepy cruise into the legendary Bermuda Triangle. Spooks and scares lurk around every corner, from alien sightings to terrifying skeleton ghost pirates that like to sink cruise ships with cannonballs. If the crew can’t solve this maritime mystery, they may walk the plank and become the Triangle’s next victims. Scooby Doo: Pirates Ahoy! premieres Friday, October 6th, 2006 at 7 p.m. (ET, PT).
October 21st: Captain America and the rest of the Ultimate Avengers return to battle with a new set of villains. This time, the events are more threatening than ever. The animated film Ultimate Avengers 2 premieres during Toonami on October 21st, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. (ET, PT).
October 28th: The animated feature Hellboy: Sword of Storms premieres on Saturday, October 28th, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. (ET, PT) during Toonami. When a university professor opens a forbidden scroll, he is possessed by the twin demons of thunder and lightning who seek to return to our world to wake their brothers, the dragons. Hellboy, along with two researchers and an albino psychic, travels to Japan to investigate. There he finds the sword of storms, the only weapon that can defeat the demons, and is transported to a world where he encounters several creatures of Japanese folklore.
NOVEMBER:
November: The highly-anticipated animated series Class of 3000 features a group of musically-gifted kids and an unlikely visitor who brings sunshine to their lives. The series is created and executive produced by André Benjamin (André 3000 of OutKast) and Tom Lynch (Romeo!). Class of 3000 focuses on the students of the prestigious Westley School for the Performing Arts in Atlanta. They all come from different parts of the city and all walks of life. The students’ common link is that they are all musical prodigies. But their lives change when Sunny Bridges (voiced by André Benjamin), who attended the school as a kid and has gone on to international superstardom, returns to Westley looking for something he lost.
In addition to his lending his voice to the lead character, André Benjamin’s creative responsibilities include production and writing contributions as well as voice and music direction. Class of 3000 premieres with a special one-hour episode in November.
November 17th: The one-hour Cartoon Network Studios original movie My Gym Partner’s a Monkey: The Big Field Trip premieres on Friday, November 17th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT). Adam joins the school band so he can participate in the annual big field trip. As Adam’s friends tell him, the infamous trip is always an experience, and this year proves to be the most adventurous ever, as the tour bus crashes and the group finds themselves lost in the woods. With his friends and faculty panicky and unable to cope in the wild, it’s up to Adam to put what he’s learned at Charles Darwin Middle School to use and save the day.
November 24th: The one-hour Cartoon Network Studios original movie Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends: Good Wilt Hunting premieres on Friday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m. (ET, PT). After once again having no visitor at the Foster’s Creator Reunion Picnic, a lonely Wilt sets out across country in hopes of reuniting with his long lost creator. Uncertain as to why Wilt left, Bloo and the Foster’s gang set out on a road trip to find him. Hindered by Bloo’s far-out theories and Wilt’s overly good nature, the chase takes many unexpected twists and turns and all the while we come to learn about Wilt's mysterious past.
DECEMBER:
December 1st: In Baby Looney Tunes: Bah Humduck, a sweet, slapstick retelling of a classic tale, Daffy Duck plays a modern Scrooge with a lesson to learn about the meaning of Christmas. Daffy enters our story as the heartless owner of the incredibly lucrative “Lucky Duck” department store chain. He hates the holidays and truth be told, everything else… except money. Through the example set by Porky Pig’s daughter, Priscilla, and the relentless “prodding” of Bugs Bunny and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future (played by Classic Looney Tune staples Granny, Tweety, Yosemite Sam and Taz), Daffy eventually opens up his heart and even his wallet. Baby Looney Tunes: Bah Humduck premieres on Friday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m. (ET, PT).
